The Learners Licence test is a theoretical test (in some cases orally) which is done at a Traffic Department. After passing your learner’s licence test, the Traffic Department will issue you with a Learner’s Licence Certificate which is valid for 2 years (24 months).

Our highly recommended and affordable learner's license classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, or at another time if arranged in advance (excluding public holidays). The address is 21 Sterling Road, Vierlanden, Durbanville.
The cost per 3-hour class per person: ONLY R250!
The main aim of our learners' classes is to teach you the signs and rules of the road and to familiarize you with the format and types of questions you can expect. Also, how to approach these questions and determine whether you fully understand the material before taking your test at the Traffic Department.
The learner’s licence test at the Traffic Department are divided into three sections:
1. Rules
2. Signs
3. Controls
You need to pass all three sections successfully for the Traffic Department to issue your Learners Licence Certificate.

On your test day the driving instructor will meet you either at home, school or work, one hour before your driving test. If your driving test takes place at a distant traffic department, a travel fee may apply. I mean, you don't want to arrive late for your driving test, right?
